Hi everyone, & thanks for backing! In the end, we hit 684% funded, which is pretty amazing! Late backers are now enabled (for the retail prices — you campaign backers got a discount!), so if you have friends who missed the campaign, you can still send them here to make late pledges!

I'll be posting at least 1 update/month here until the project ships, and per one of our stretch goals, some of those updates will include videos! I don't want to overwhelm your inboxes, so I'll keep them reasonably spaced out now that the campaign's done.

We're getting a little end-of-campaign boost right now and have surpassed $30k (600% funded)! No more stretch goals here, but the more we raise, the more I can focus on this project in the coming year, and the sooner I can get it out to all of you! We're within 1 day of the campaign's end, so if you have any pals who might like to get in on it, now's the time :)

📓 500% Funded! Some extra help for running the dungeon!

Well, we hit 500% yesterday! Really incredible, thank you all so much for making this happen :)

This stretch goal is the last one I had planned, and will be the last one in the campaign, barring some sudden inspiration :)

The adaptation guide will be an extra page or so in the book with tips on running the megadungeon using different RPG systems. The Blades of Gixa is meant to be fairly system-neutral, and more or less compatible with any old-school style RPG (B/X, OSE, Whitehack, Knave, Shadowdark, etc.), but some guidance can be helpful when interpreting layouts, stat blocks, etc., especially when they're written rather concisely. It'll also have some thoughts on running the dungeon with systems that are less old-school (like 5E).

Hello lovely backers! There are now over 500 of you, which is quite incredible! Thanks so much for being a part of this campaign.

I don't know about you, but when I made the Blades Of Gixa logo, I sat back and had a sudden desire to see it embroidered on a hat! And now that we have a critical mass of backers, I feel comfortable offering it as the final physical reward — at a big discount to backers during the campaign.

Here are mock-ups of the front and back! Designs will be embroidered on 100% black cotton baseball caps:

We haven't fully finalized the design yet — plus there will be an additional thoughtful detail or two not shown here — but this gives you an idea of what you'll be getting :) Hats will be just $25 during the campaign, and $35 after, so now's a great time to add 'em to your pledges!

Note: the hat is not included in any pledge tier, and is only available as an add-on!

🎶 400% Funded! Soundtrack Unlocked!

The Blades Of Gixa has reached 400% funding ($20k), which means we've passed another stretch goal! As thanks, all backers will now get a soundtrack for the module, created in collaboration with Galen Drew (who also made the Warped Beyond Recognition soundtrack).

The next stretch goal is an adaptation guide for the megadungeon. The Blades Of Gixa is designed to be broadly compatible with old-school style RPGs (B/X, Old School Essentials, Whitehack, Knave, etc.), but as with any such module, a little extra guidance can be helpful! This will also include some considerations and recommendations for playing with stuff that's a bit further removed, like 5E.
